Borth, literally "The Harbour", is a coastal village of around 1,500 inhabitants on Cardigan Bay. It attracts many visitors in summer, thanks in particular to its beautiful golden sandy beach, ideal for water sports (mainly windsurfing), and the protected sites in the surrounding area. These include the superb "Ynyslas" marine nature reserve, home to thousands of wading birds, and one of Britain's largest peat bogs. You can walk in the dunes and swim in the estuary. Three routes are available. The charm of this former fishing village inspired Morrissey to write his song Everyday Is Like Sunday.
