25 km east of Verona, famous for its fresh, light and fruity wine, Soave deserves to be ranked among the most picturesque towns in Italy. The medieval urban fabric is surrounded by the 14th century walls of the Lords of Verona, the Della Scala. The monuments of interest are located along the main roads of the city, Via Roma and Via Camuzzoni. The parish church of San Lorenzo dated 1303, but decorated in the 16th century, is remarkable. In Piazza Antenna, the Cavalli Palace (1411) and the Law Courts (1375) show a strong influence of the Venetian Gothic style. The majestic 10th century castle watches over the town and its surroundings.
