The southernmost road in Australia. A spectacular region of mountains and beautiful white sand beaches but also the start (or end) of the South West Track. This region has been saved from deforestation by environmentalists. From Southport, take the unpaved road to Catamaran (locality). The last place to get proper supplies is in Dover. It was at Recherche Bay that the French explorers first set foot in Tasmania. It was also from here that the first scientific studies of Australia were undertaken. Possibility to camp or park with a motorhome.
