It is a town of 1,200 inhabitants located in the heart of a valley. It preserves some beautiful noble residences as well as a church of the XVIIth century dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. The surroundings are dotted with small chapels and hermitages. If you feel like it, you can walk to the beautiful beach of San Julian - a 30-minute walk - or simply observe it from the viewpoint. The view is worth the detour, even if an hour round trip will inevitably end up weighing on your legs further along the Way of Saint James. The hermitage of San Julian, or rather what remains of it, is also a pleasant visit.
