South of Jebel Harim, the valleys and reliefs retain their dramatic intensity, but lose height as they remain below 1,000 meters. Wadi Bih is one of the most photogenic of the region. A track leads in 5 km to a unique geological curiosity: a rocky cirque surrounding a plain of 3.5 km by 3. Seen from the plane or on Google Earth, it is a light yellow spot in the middle of the peninsula. As you reach the Rawdah bowl, the streaks of different colors give the mineral scenery an air of abstraction; on the left, ancient tombs; on the right, try to spot the dry stone shelters, these bait al qufl which are in Musandam what the bories are in Gordes, forms of resistance habitat. At the bottom of this magnificent site, acacias and sidr (jujubiers thorns of Christ) make an enchanting picture, dappled and prairie. At the first rains, the whole is covered with wild flowers. In the evening, when a radical silence invites itself, that possibly remain some 4x4 crews near the trees, we open discreetly the aperitif in the heart of this small Omani Ngorongoro. Then, from the "main" track, we reach in 6.5 km due south the junction and the security controls of the Emirati authorities. On the right, the runway to Ras Al-Khaimah in the Emirates. On the left, the small track that reaches Dibba in 1h30, via the wadi Khabb Ash Shamsi. In principle, it would still not be possible to pass from one side to the other without special Emirati authorization.
