Travel Guide Laguna Mururata

The excursion to Laguna Murata, off the beaten track, is for the most adventurous. Take the Ventilla trail (towards Illimani) and cross the pass before Lambate. The first village on the way down is called Tutural Pampa. Go on foot to the lagoons you will have seen on the way down. Good hikers will reach the last lagoon, at the foot of the glacier of the Mururata mountain which culminates at 5 868 m. We have seen people cry at the arrival, dazzled by the fatigue or by the beauty of the places crossed which have nothing to envy to Patagonia. For this excursion too, it is preferable to go through an agency in La Paz.
