Located at the very north of the island, the village is famous for its cliffs which overhang the ocean at a height of about 40 meters. From July to September, they are an ideal observation post to watch for humpback whales. The Jokin tribe is grouped around the church. Behind it, the little chief's hut is easily recognizable with its beautiful totems carved in wood and the coral wall that surrounds it. Don't forget to ask permission from the locals to take pictures. Don't miss your visit to the island to discover the local honey, an exceptional product that people like to bring back to France!
