LE COMPTOIR DES COLONIES
Read moreThe Comptoir des Colonies is an institution in Dijon. On market days, places are expensive, so much so that it is a popular tea room! In the summer, the large terrace welcomes you to stroll and watch the passers-by get restless. In the winter, the crowded room and the smell of coffee have something comforting. You can choose from about 20 different types of coffee and it is roasted by hand a few steps away. Le Comptoir also has many teas from the famous house "Mariage Frères", and all are served with a nice slice of pound cake. Finally, the Comptoir des Colonies offers a few aperitifs and some very good rums. An address to visit!
CAFFÈ GUFO
Read moreCome discover the flavors of freshly ground coffee at Caffè Gufo. The owner, Jean-Baptiste Legouge, who is passionate about roasting, is happy to tell customers about the secrets of making coffee. Located on rue de la Chouette, a stone's throw from the Square des Ducs, it's an opportunity to take a short break on the terrace to taste local and natural coffees, like those found at the Caféothèque in Paris. The menu is renewed every three weeks and the espresso, whether lungo or ristretto, costs two euros. The icing on the cake is that the house offers green coffee and infusions made from coffee cherries. Jean-Baptiste is still inspired by his trips to Italy to compose his menu, with for example the delicious Bicerin from Turin. Finally, for those who are not convinced, you can enjoy Christine Dattner's tea or opt for a beer or a fruit juice.
ESPRESSO-T
Read moreEspresso-T is a place apart. Coffee is king here, and coffee lovers can rediscover it cold, savour it by slow Chemex infusion, or marvel at Arnaud and Bertrand's Latte Art. New: On-site roasting, high quality coffees and the launch of their own brand "les cafés Ours Blanc". On the menu: "Les Jardins de Gaia" tea, of course, and without doubt the best Chaï in Dijon. Why is that? Because it is brewed the day before in a clever blend of spices that makes all the difference. At all hours: bagels, croque-monsieur, soups, but also sweet tarts and cakes, including the inevitable cheesecake. Or the carrot cake. To tell the truth, it's impossible to tell them apart.
