Ideal restaurant for seafood lovers in Dijon.

La Fringale is a small, unpretentious restaurant on Jeannin Street that has become a real institution for seafood lovers over the years! In the dining room, Monique has been welcoming you for 20 years and advises you on dishes cooked by Jean-Paul who puts his experience and talent at the service of fresh products. Thus, the Chef cooks with precision the Saint-Pierre fillet in semi-salted butter, the sole meunière or the grilled turbot in Nyons oil. The chef likes to go to the market to find ideas for dishes while his fish comes directly from the Guilvinec! For meat lovers or those who want to rediscover traditional dishes, a menu is dedicated to them with the Beef Burgundy as the highlight! A good and reputable address!

Modern, minimalist and neat. A la carte, oysters - for €22), foie gras, smoked salmon (£16), whelks, seafood (£32) and of course seafood platter (90 sea-green €/2.) Then only one fish dish, a turbo €38 (glups!) and... nothing: no cheese or dessert. Only one menu €28. No menu for water, fruit juice and other drinks. Quality is uneven: the smoked salmon inedible as too much is marinated. The fish pot (in the menu €28) consists of 3 delicious scallops, a perfectly cooked elk the turbo one and a large grilled scampi impossible to eat bus very- hard, all drowned in a sauce with cream too heavy. Soft service, very slow (made by the owner, the owner on its side spending your time at the bar with its friends). Never!
