Ancient hermitage set in a cliff above Lake Prespa. Access by boat. Beautiful fresco of the Annunciation.
This Orthodox church (Kisha e Shën Mëhillit, Црква Свети Архангел Михаил/Crkva Sveti Arhangel Mihail) is a former 14th-century hermitage set into a cliff above Lake Prespa. The lower part served as housing for the monks while the upper part, accessible by a staircase, houses a 3 x 3 m chapel whose entrance is decorated with a fresco depicting the Annunciation: the archangel Michael announces to Mary that she is pregnant.

Très belle île!
Très belle île! On y accède par une passerelle en bois. Pendant ce trajet à pied, on peu voir de nombreux oiseaux: grèbes, cormorans, pélicans...Puis dans l'île, on peut faire une belle et paisible promenade dans les champs, parmi les vestiges...
