The Kong Lor cave is one of the most beautiful natural sites in Laos and is a must-see stop in Thakhek. Access by scooter is also possible, but you should know that the last part of the road (about 20 km) is a series of potholes. The landscapes along the road are beautiful, between rice fields and karst structures. In Kong Lo village, guesthouses have multiplied and it is not difficult to find a room to spend the night or a place to eat. To visit the cave, you will have to hire a boatman (count 1h30 to make the 14 km round trip).
