This national park, which is still recent, was established on 20 October 2004. With its 61,700 hectares of Patagonian steppe on the Atlantic coast, it is in fact the first coastal national park in Argentina. The park is home to high cliffs, small islets, delightful bays and unspoilt beaches. The fauna is also there and consists mainly of cormorants, some 20 species of coastal birds and 60,000 Magellanic penguins. And for more splendour and poetry, you can sometimes observe one-haired (pelo) sea wolves and the southern right whale. It is also the kingdom of the puma, which is however discreet. A stop to consider, especially in summer!
