The city, capital of the department of the same name, is located 80 km from Mendoza, on the Tunuyan River. Together with San Carlos and Tupungato, it is part of the Valle de Uco, renowned for having some of the highest vineyards in the world. Escorted by the sumptuous Andes Mountains, Tunuyan has two small museums, one recounting the life of General San Martin, a national hero, and the other containing archaeological artifacts and dedicated to natural sciences. Known by wine lovers, it is especially its wineries that have made it popular: you will be able to easily enjoy the tasting tours offered in organized tours or by bike.
