After Achadinha, and shortly before Achada, we come to an enchanting little valley, impossible to miss. At a bend in the road, a superb waterfall springs up on the right - especially when it's raining - in the middle of a landscape that's both wild and polite. To the left of the road, near a rehabilitated water mill (severe flooding destroyed almost all of Nordeste's 100 mills in 1986, and a few are currently being restored), a small levada glides peacefully by. It's a pleasure to stroll through the surrounding azalea and pittosporum beds. Inside, you'll find a beautiful grain mill that's often in operation, so don't hesitate to step inside.
