The Tambopata National Reserve covers 274,690 hectares of preserved land in southeastern Peru. The reserve has many diverse habitats. It is crossed by three rivers: Malinowski, Tambopata and Madre de Dios.It attracts tourists and scientists thanks to its remarkable and unique biodiversity in the world. This zone is unfortunately threatened by the exploitation of gold and the overexploitation of the forest. From now on, many associations are mobilizing to protect the environment. Indigenous people continue to live here and maintain a certain autonomy thanks to agriculture, among other things.
