This small village located 7 km north of the city on the road to Carhuaz (S/ 1 by colectivo and S/ 5 by taxi) is worth a stop for its hot springs (entrance: S/ 4 the common pool and S/ 6 the small private pool, open from 6am to 5pm). You can bathe in the two pools with red ferruginous water at 50°C, which are said to be curative for rheumatism, depression and muscular pains; or you can rent a small private pool. A much appreciated stopover after several days of trekking in the region. The site is really simple and could be greatly improved, but it's relaxing and you enjoy it anyway!
