7 km north-east of Huaraz (35 min by car or 3 hours by foot), you will find a site of pre-Inca Wari culture. This site is divided in two sets: a pyramidal building of three floors, with cabezas claves (key stones cut in the shape of face) and rooms cut in basement. At 300 m, there is a group of perfectly preserved dwellings that you can enter bent over (bring a flashlight). Once you arrive at the site after a 3-hour walk, you can enjoy a break facing the high peaks. The path, on the right, is indicated by a panel, then it is better to speak Spanish and ask for the road. A good walk to acclimatize. Entrance S/ 5
