The form of community life has allowed, as on the neighboring island of Taquile, a different kind of tourism: lodging in the homes of local people, sharing the daily life of the hosts... Via an agency or a direct contact the proposals are numerous. Greener and more agricultural, the flora of the island is characterized by its numerous shrubs whose leaves, with curative properties, are consumed in the form of infusions(muña, kantuta, salvia, tola, patamuña...). Other curiosities of the island, the temples of Pacha Tata (god of the Sky) and of Pacha Mama (goddess of the Earth). The sunset and the walks under the sky full of stars are of great beauty.
