For those who are looking for rest, the small fishing village of Cerro Azul (km 132) seems to be the right place for a short stay of sun and sea (although the water is cold there, as on the whole coast). Small hotels and surfing are available. Many apartments for rent. It is one of the last village-resorts, quite close to Lima, with a promenade on the sea front and restaurants on the dike. Beware the corner is popular and thus less quiet in summer. This is also where you will find the fork in the road to Lunahuana or to continue on the Panamericana towards the south and the cities of Chincha, Pisco or Paracas.
