The Khenifra National Park, which covers almost 200 000 hectares, is the last of the Moroccan parks. Its recent creation dates back to 2008. It is intended to respond to the urgency of threats to the natural resources of the Middle Atlas region.Adjacent to two national parks, that of Ifrane and the Oriental High Atlas, this park is distinguished by its Atlas's cedars, which mainly make up its forests with green and zènes oaks and maritime pines. Finally, from a wildlife perspective, this protected area is replete with "wonders" of nature: panther, striped hyena, jackal, royal eagle, and monkeys. There are also some species of wild boar, gambra partridge, grives, hares, and foxes.
