The Baan Mai is a restaurant with a singular architecture with a lot of woodwork, well located only a few meters from Kamala beach. It is run by a friendly Frenchman who will be able to advise you for your stay. Swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna, massages, soft music and Zen atmosphere for this restaurant which is built all in bamboo around a very friendly wooden bar as well. Thai and French cuisine (go for the prime rib with roquefort sauce!). It's a must-see place, especially for local francophones

The establishment is located on the main road from Patong to Surin, you can't miss it. First of all Thai cuisine, including dishes that you can only find at Ohlala, but also tasty French dishes (beef recipes, mincemeat parmentier or fondue among others), and excellent pizzas. Don't forget to taste their creation: the Tam-Tam. Resident" prices are reasonable. The brocante-style decor is warm, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Everything is homemade including the bread.
