This village is the eastern tip of La Palma. Its importance was particularly strategic during the first centuries of colonisation, since the place was the granary of wheat and barley in La Palma. Of this primary function, only a district called El Granel remains. Its assets: its San Juan church, dating from the 16th century, as well as the Casa Luján, which serves as an ethnographic museum and sales point for local crafts. In the surrounding area you can find laurels, holly, oak, linden trees, etc. The Cubo de la Galga overflows with a richness appreciable for all nature lovers.
