Like all villages on the northwest coast, Tijarafe is built on the sides of a steep cliff, isolated by deep barrancos (ravines). Thus preserved, this rural village has retained its authenticity and lives peacefully in the middle of the banana plantations that make up its economy. Another of the pleasures of the place, its municipality offers beautiful landscapes and numerous viewpoints from which you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the north-western slope of La Palma. The Jurdo viewpoint, the Barranco de Garome viewpoint, the Pozo Viejo viewpoint, the Morro de las Salinas viewpoint or the Muralla viewpoint, among others.
