Gueberschwihr is particularly proud of its Grand Cru Goldert. Along its cobbled streets, you'll discover beautiful medieval buildings protected by imposing porches. Quiet and authentic, Gueberschwihr hides an architectural gem: a church with a 12th-century Romanesque bell tower rising 36 meters. Off-center, it backs onto the mountain. For the record, the building was erected on the site of a sacred spring, an ancient pagan place of worship. If you take the departmental road west through the village, you'll discover another facet of Alsace: mushroom forests, cliffs and sandstone rocks.
