4 km west of Cuenca (Azuay province). This small town has a population of about 5,200 inhabitants. In this village you can find handicrafts, baskets, objects made of woven straw... Many crops of fruits and vegetables, and flowers. Since many retirees, mainly North American, but also European, have settled in this affluent suburb, there are also good restaurants serving typical cuisine, including excellent grilled meat. An authentic stopover, ideal for a break from the city's activity, accessible both by bus and by taxi at low cost. (about 8 US$)
