Rosscarbery is a charming coastal village with a picturesque coastline, including the magnificent Owenahincha beach. The village also boasts a friendly farmers' market every Saturday morning. Nearby, the Rosscarbery region boasts numerous megalithic tombs and stone circles in the countryside, the most famous of which is the Drombeg Stone Circle near Glandore. Also known as the Druid's Altar, this circle of thirteen imposing megaliths dates back to 945 BC. A beautiful, mysterious archaeological site that's well worth a detour.
