The plateau of Môc Châu and its rich pastures lend themselves to the breeding of large cattle and the cultivation of black tea. Throughout the country, Môc Châu is famous for its tea, its honey and for its milk from cows of Dutch origin. The plateau is crossed by the road that leads to the mountainous northwest. Due to the urbanization phenomenon, its surroundings have become uninviting. The plateau is a stopover for those heading towards Diên Biên Phu. On September 2, thousands of Hmông people gather in the district of Môc Châu for an annual festival where they exchange goods and hope to meet their soul mates.
