Mount Tiên Sa culminates at an altitude of 693 m above sea level. A lighthouse, built in 1908, marks the summit. It plays the role of a gigantic screen that shelters the city and protects its ports. At dawn or at sunset, the mountain offers a sumptuous view of Dà Nang and its maritime landscape. The peninsula has long been off-limits because it is home to military installations. Today, it is a pleasant destination for excursions, with an unspoilt environment. Bordered by white sand, it is home to forests inhabited by rare species, as well as a rich marine ecosystem. It is considered the green lung of the city of Dà Nang.
