Punta Prima, which the English nicknamed "Sandy Bay", is a beautiful and vast beach - 120 metres long and 30 metres wide - stretching its immaculate sand across the Illa de l'Aire (recognisable by its large lighthouse) to Menorca's south-eastern tip. A well-known seaside resort for summer visitors, it is one of the most popular beaches on the island. Suitable for the youngest visitors due to its shallow waters and low waves (the Illa de l'Aire acts as a natural barrier), Punta Prima has a wide range of hotel accommodation.
