It is an isolated ornamental village with a little over 200 inhabitants. On its wooded and humid land, a glass industry of the Ancien Régime was developed in late nineteenth century. Today, the old glassware of the Gast opens up a bed and breakfast. You can find on the commune some of the meadows of the forest of Listeners which are registered under Historic Monuments. In the center of the village, Saint Martin Church houses a Virgin to the Child and two tables classified. Finally, a stent was erected in 1971, at the Place Germain, in memory of Albert Giroux (1907-1944), journalist, resistant, shot in the commune. The municipality houses a large house in a beautiful building in its park (see accommodation section).
