The Serve-Bodingué national park belongs to these rare places of a vast biodiversity, enriched by its situation at the crossroads of Central, West and East Africa. Thus, three types of ecosystems coexist: savanna, wetland and wetlands. In other words, wildlife, ornithological and plant richness that is not found in Dzanga-Sangha. Thus, more than 115 species of mammals (including 13 primates) and more than 320 species of birds are known in this area. The presence of a hybrid monkey between two brazza species (from the "West Central" region and the "east-Central" region) illustrates the overlap of the site on different biogeographical regions. The National Park is managed by the Forest Ecosystems of Central Africa (ECOFAC), a European Union programme for the sustainable management of natural resources aimed at reconciling the development and conservation of the various protected sites in Central Africa. A buffer zone has been set up on the outskirts, where people live, in which the legislation needs to be improved and enforced, to listen and to solve the problems of the villagers, to initiate income-generating and protective actions for biodiversity. If it has not yet been possible to get the gorillas to the human presence as in Bayanga, weekend tourism is still possible and of exceptional quality.
