Located in the southern province, near the city of Campo, Campo Ma 'an reserve, an area of approximately 264,000 ha, was erected as a national park in 2000. The park is located on the border between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. This is the only park in the country with direct contact with the coast. One objective is the protection of the biological diversity of the coastal forest against the damage caused by deforestation and those that could lead to the construction of the Chad-Cameroon pipeline. Wildlife, the park contains species that are considered endangered, such as the gorilla.
