The park stretches from Sedgefield to Wilderness, covering more than 2,612 ha of wetlands and waterways. The five lakes within the park are all reputed to be haunted. Apparently, this was also the view of the first inhabitants of the area who left rock paintings depicting history through the drawings of water spirits and funny mermaids! The Wilderness National Park is nevertheless very attractive. For hiking enthusiasts, there are five different trails to follow in the middle of nature. You should also sign up for the canoe trail for a three-day guided adventure along the water.
