Located on the slopes of the Bankberg in the Great Karoo, the Mountain Zebra National Park covers 6 536 ha. The snow sometimes comes to show its face in winter. In this park, zebras live alongside red hartebeest, eland, black wildebeest, kudu, black rhino, Cape buffalo, springbok, blesbok, mountain cob, grey rhebok, duiker, steenbok, leaping antelope, black eagle and pointed-eared caracal. You can walk freely on the 45 km of tracks after passing by the reception-restaurant to pick up the brochures. Walkers can set out on the trails for an hour or for the day.
