Although it is the smallest island of the archipelago, Saint-Pierre is the main town, and it is here that almost all the population is settled (more than 5,000 inhabitants). Thus, it is in this small piece of land that you will find most of the services, hotels, restaurants, stores and attractions, and it is through here that you will arrive with the ferry that connects the archipelago to Newfoundland. The city is located on the east coast of the island, practically in the center, while the airport is located to the south. A few roads lead from Saint-Pierre to the other parts of the island, which are sparsely populated.
