Linked to Turin by Corso Francia, Rivoli is now a relatively important centre in the Turin belt. The town centre still preserves some interesting medieval remains, such as the Casa del Conte Verde (Via Fratelli Piol, 6), dating from the quattrocento (15th century), and the Palazzo Comunale, built at the same time. The brilliant Museum of Contemporary Art, housed in one of the royal residences of the Savoys, is now an essential part of the cultural panorama of the Piedmontese capital region, combining a magnificently restored ancient setting with the modernity of the works and artistic events presented.
