Cape St. Mary's Headland is located at the southern tip of the Avalon Peninsula on the Southwest Arm. The cape is probably one of the best known in the province and is well known as an ecological wildlife reserve. Artist Otto P. Kelland wrote a folk song in its honour, Let Me Fish Off Cape St. Mary's. The reserve has the most accessible seabird colony (over 70,000) in North America. Throughout the summer season, don't miss the Cape St. Mary's Performance Series, an event featuring traditional music, storytelling, visual art and more.
