Located on the northeast coast of the island of Newfoundland, some 60 kilometers east of Gander, Glovertown is the northern gateway to Terra Nova National Park. It is the most easterly national park in the country and includes a Dark Sky Preserve. The community of Glovertown is also a salmon fishing hot spot on the Terra Nova River, one of the largest in the region. Water activities are popular here, but for those who want to keep their feet on the ground, Ken Diamond Memorial Park offers several miles of trails, many of which are accessible to the mobility impaired.
