Kaundorf, situated on the heights north of Lake Upper Sûre, is a peaceful village with access to some remnants of the Second World War. One can discover the bunker An der Runschelt, restored and classified in 1987, as well as a bomb dropped by an American plane on Christmas Day 1944, now used as a memorial to the victims of the Battle of the Bulge, a tragic part of the history of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Kaundorf is also home to the 18th century chapel of St. Mary's, a place of pilgrimage on Whit Monday. An 8.4 km self-pedestrian circuit allows you to explore the village and its surroundings.
