A splendid mountain lake with very clear waters.

The Alpsee is a splendid lake, beautifully framed by mountains and with beautiful blue-green water. There's a pleasant hiking trail that takes you around the lake on foot, over rocks and roots, and is popular with trekking aficionados, walking sticks in hand and beginners alike, camera in hand. In places, you'll enjoy lovely views of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The Pindarplatz platform, too, offers a wonderful panorama of the lake.
