At the gates of Mali Lošinj, Čikat is one of the most beautiful coves on the island. Protected by the forest park, the Aleppo pines planted in the late nineteenth century by naturalist Ambroz Haračić have taken well, as have the olive trees. The area is known for its sandy beach, campsites and sports and water sports facilities. The coastal promenade is lined with old mansions from the early days of Austro-Hungarian tourism. Some of them were transformed into hotels or second homes. At the Cape of the Annunciation, the Chapel of the Virgin Mary (1858) looks out to sea. It is a traditional votive sanctuary of the marine Lošinj.
