Samrong is in full development and very little frequented by tourists. It is located just over the Thai border and has little to offer except for a few casinos frequented by Thais and a market in the south of the town that was once the heart of the village. Life is centered on either side of the main road that crosses it. You can occasionally stop here if you are on the way to Bantey Chmar. The border towns always have this je-ne-sais-quoi of end of the world, a kind of spaghetti western atmosphere and Samrong is no exception to the rule. An atmosphere to live
