Mont-Laurier is the terminus of Le P'tit train du Nord linear park, some 234 km north of its starting point. It is also the main town of the regional county municipality of Antoine-Labelle (or capital of the Hautes-Laurentides) and the stopover par excellence for snowmobilers and quad riders. Here you can stock up on groceries and other necessities before taking to the forest roads leading to the region's outfitters. Mont-Laurier is also the last major town before crossing the La Vérendrye wildlife reserve to the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
