Little Mabul is the ideal starting point for diving in Sipadan and the other islands. Covered in white sand and shaded by coconut palms, it extends over 20 hectares. It's easy to walk around and discover the Bajau Bajau stilt village inhabited by sea gypsies. Unfortunately, Mabul suffers from overcrowding and some of the island's heavenly beaches have a real cleanliness problem. The island is also renowned for muck diving.
