Just 15 minutes from Sipadan, Kapalai is one of the most beautiful dive sites in the world. A paradise for small marine life, the island benefits from the worldwide recognition of Sipadan and Mabul to attract divers to the island's only resort, the Sipadan-Kapalai Resort. With the island barely above water, the lodges are built on stilts, in the spirit of Bajau villages. Unfortunately, erosion caused by ocean currents continues, and the island continues to sink inexorably. At high tide, only a sandbank remains. Nevertheless, the translucent waters are always within flipper's reach.
