5 km north of Aberdovey, Tywyn is a small village, ideal for exploring the surrounding area, the Talyllyn and Dysynni valleys. Its beach, one of the prettiest in the north of the country, is endless and the surrounding hills will delight walkers. If you take the train ride, there is nothing like getting off the train and walking through the forests and valleys. Dolgoch Falls makes for a beautiful hike. You also like to visit St Cadfan's Church, a beautiful Norman church whose oldest parts date from the beginning of the 12th century and where you can admire one of the oldest examples of Welsh writing (650 BC).
