2 km from Thérèse, west of Mahé, attached to the Port Glaud district, Conception Island is very inhospitable and attracts no one, since violent currents prevent all boats from docking on this large pebble 1.5 km long and 500 m wide. To make matters worse, the cliffs drop steeply into the ocean, with the currents in the area being very unfriendly. Above all, not a beach worthy of the name to put down one's towel! It seems that in the Seychelles too, the exception confirms the rule... Note however: it has been recognized as an important area for the conservation of birds.
