Immaculate whiteness! Sand collectors won't want to miss Grand'Anse, one of the brightest beaches on the west coast, just past the Avani Seychelles Barbarons (under renovation) as you head north to Port Glaud. But beware of its imposing waves! While they are ideal for those who want to indulge in a little surfing (not very common in the Seychelles), they are dangerous for swimming in the south-easterly wind season, between May and September. The rest of the year, picnics and long swims are the order of the day at the foot of the Morne Seychellois.
