Quatre Bornes is a small sleepy village with colorful huts, the southernmost of the big island. Perched on a hillside, it offers superb panoramas on the most beautiful coast of the island and has a police station, a school and a small supermarket, which is very practical before going to picnic on the famous beach of Anse Intendance. It is from Quatre Bornes that you drive down Grand Police Bay Road to enjoy a dreamy moment of idleness on Intendance. We also pass there to join Anse Takamaka from the East coast and to begin its ascent of the West coast and its numerous paradisiacal beaches.
