This peninsula bordered by Atlantic and Caribbean is classified as a national historic park. Here was the famous battle against Admiral Rodney, head of the English fleet, and Admiral de Grasse defending French interests. The British fort of Pigeon Island remains a few ruins. There is also a small restaurant, the Jambe de Bois. In clear weather, from Fort Rodney, you will have an exceptional view of Martinique. The Grand Place of the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival (every year in May), Pigeon Island transforms into a concert in a Woodstock of the Caribbean.
